There’s a
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
by an insurance-related organization called Quote Wiz
ard which has named Omaha drivers the worst in the country for 2018. Having driven in many big cities, I really can’t say I think we’re that bad. Plus, the data from the study was
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
and ranked southern Florida drivers as the best, so take it with a generous grain of salt. Oh well, at least the local news

I think the worst American drivers I’ve seen in Mexico were Texas plated cars.

Of course CA is high in the list. I’m surrounded by dog shit cars driven by complete knuckle dragging morons. It’s rough. Only good thing is the weather and the quality of cars. The condition of roads, drivers, and laws are nonsensical.

Weather huh?
Do LA drivers loose their shit in the rain? Mexican drivers do and it grinds my gears.

everybody but me currently on north bound 405 are all terrible drivers

Florida drivers below the age of 60 are fine.

‘self reported’
Well... There’s why NJ isn’t on the list. We all think we’re the best drivers...
I’ve never been to Omaha but I can’t imagine it’s worse driving there than NYC or Philly or Boston or Atlanta.
Boston might think they’re the worst but personally I vote Atlanta.

They also say Miami drivers are the second best, so this list is a load of crap.

It happens in El Paso and Southern NM, too. During last night’s rain, I was driving my usual 80mph in the F-150 on the interstate without the slightest problem. Some percentage (we’ll call it 10- 20%) of people were driving 40mph with their hazards on for some reason. I’m convinced these people wouldn’t survive if they spent any time in places where it rains on a regular basis.

What. huh. but.
Don’t you guys have driver’s Education courses and like, better inspections?
Why do people go apeshit in more controlled enviroments
![]() 07/12/2018 at 22:15 |
|
There are dozens of them.. Dozens!
![]() 07/12/2018 at 22:20 |

But why? isn’t Colorado regularly covered in snow? I’d expect drivers to be able to handle rain

Driver’s Ed is a joke, and there are no inspections in New Mexico (save for emissions inspections in one county). While we’ re leagues of ahead of driver skill and behavior compared to driving around Northern Mexico, there are still no shortage of bad drivers who might only get caught out driving in the rain a few times per year.

In general, rain is a special event in Southern NM. In a place that gets no more than 6-8 inches a year (and often an inch at a time in monsoon type storms this time of year), it doesn’t happen often. There’s also the smell of the desert after it rains. That smell never gets old.

Wet smell is nice as hell.

I live around the lowest point of snow level ~2500 feet. When it snows, it’s pandemonium. Nothing but crashes and people complaining. La-la land isn’t another world. Combat driving. I hate it. I refuse to drive there unless driving THROUGH it.

Jesus.
I’ve driven little in snow, but what I have did not scare me beyond being a bit more precautious.

You’d think. I’m not gonna comment on how bad they are in snow, too.

I live in Tulsa and... no. Admittedly no one drives particularly aggressively , but no one actually pays attention to other cars on the road either.
